These Headphones can bring all eyes to you!!!
Dyson has recently announced the launch of ‘Dyson Zone’, which is headphones and air purifiers in a single device after successful R&D efforts since 2016. While reading about this innovation might astound you, the design of the product will leave you completely overwhelmed!! Dyson is a Singapore-based technology company that designs and manufactures household appliances such as vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, etc.
The Dyson Zone is the company’s first audio product. Although this new product is a result of six years of research, top-notch engineering, and immense hard work, it might remind you of Bane in the DC comics. And this is not the first time that Dyson has made it to the markets with unique engineering and futuristic devices.
Let’s talk about the specifications!
Dyson Zone is offering up to 50 hours of audio battery life, although battery life drops massively to 4 hours when the air purifier and headphones are used simultaneously. Dyson Zone features a 2600mAh battery, but with air purification, enabled, battery life drops significantly to 4 hours on the low airflow setting, 2.5 hours on medium, and 1.5 hours on high.
The product is equipped with 11 microphones, eight of which are used by the device’s advanced noise canceling (ANC) system. These microphones, according to Dyson, can monitor surrounding sounds 384,000 times per second, reducing background noise by up to 38dB. Out of the remaining three microphones, two are beamforming to reduce noise from the air filtration system, while a single microphone detects voice audio for calls.
Regarding air filtration, Dyson claims that a combination of electrostatic filters within the Dyson Zone can capture up to 99%of particle pollution (as small as 0.1 microns). and carbon filters, on the other hand, target gases associated with urban pollution, such as nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide. These filters have a 12-month lifespan and are not reusable.
The device pairs up with the MyDyson app and provides real-time air quality and environmental noise level updates to the user. Also, Dyson guarantees that if the air purifier is turned on, the filtration system can capture 99% of particle pollution and can be adapted based on the air quality by using the smartphone app.
The Verge by Dyson lists the weight of the device as 595 grams (around 21 ounces) without the visor attached, which increases to 670 grams (around 23 ounces) when completely assembled. That’s much heavier than many best noise-canceling headphones out there, even without the visor. That’s a little too heavy for a pair of headphones. Finally, while the technology stands out from other brands, the price is equally outstanding, retailing at US$ 949, being more absurd than the product itself.
Although Dyson Zone seems like a very out-of-the-box product and Dyson being the only manufacturer in this product line would be highly positive about the product. RationalStat expects the Dyson Zone to gain traction at a substantial rate in the coming future and push the global growth rate of the air purifiers market. As per the RationalStat Analysis, the global air purifier market was valued at nearly US$ 11.0 billion in 2021 and is expected to grow at a significant growth rate of over 6.5% over the period of 2022-2028.
